AdU stretches winning streak

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Adamson University stretched its unbeaten run in UAAP softball to 36 games following its 8-0 shutout win over University of the East (UE) yesterday at the Rizal Memorial Diamond.

The “three-peat” champion Lady Falcons have not lost a single match in the past three seasons, their last defeat being a 3-8 stunner at the hands of University of Santo Tomas on Feb. 13, 2010.

National University and De La Salle also won yesterday with the Lady Bulldogs coming from behind to beat University of the Philippines, 8-3, and the Lady Archers doing the same thing in downing Ateneo, 11-6.

Adamson University, NU and De La Salle are unbeaten so far in two games in Season 76.

The Lady Bulldogs struggled early in the match but found their rhythm in the last four innings where they scored five runs to foil the Lady Maroons’ upset bid.

The Lady Archers also trailed by four runs in the first two innings only to get back in the game and also frustrate the Lady Eagles.
