Justin Bieber plays hoops in Tacloban City

MANILA, Philippines – Pop sensation Justin Bieber exactly knew how to touch the Filipinos hearts.

Bieber on Tuesday afternoon came to the typhoon-devastated city of Tacloban to lend his hand to the victims of super typhoon Yolanda that hit Visayas region last Nov. 8.

The pop star held an “exclusive concert” for the children, gave t-shirts, but most of all played basketball with the survivors and against the national team head coach Chot Reyes.

The teen singing sensation, a known basketball fanatic, actually won the Most Valuable Player award in the 2011 NBA All Star Game in Los Angeles Convention Center despite in the losing end.

The Canadian singer said that his visit in the Philippines is the last and most important leg of his “Believe World Tour.”

Through a video he released in prizeo.com, Justin encouraged his fans to donate for the typhoon victims, and in exchange he’ll give them the privilege to watch him record his upcoming album.

“The moment I heard about the tragedy a few weeks back, I know I can count on you guys to make a difference. So I’m asking you guys to help me, help them. Check prizeo.com/justin," he said.

“As you give back, I’m doing something I’ve never done before. I’m bringing that winner to come with me at the studio next year.  I’ll raise money and you’ll come to the studio with me. So please, please help me, help them,” he added.

The campaign has already raised $610,344, which will go to three foundations in the Philippines.
