Steady Chuas rule 17th Founders Cup

Playing in the Group C division, the Chuas broke out of a tight race for the crown after an 85 in the aggregate format at the Palmer course with a best-ball net of 49 at the Player course to finish with 134 for a close two-point win over the pair of Eric Borromeo and Rusty Bayani in the four-day event backed by Globe Telecom, Banco de Oro-CLG/VISA, Mizuno, Sta. Lucia Realty, Kulinarya Global Corp., CATS Motors/Mercedes-Benz and Mazda as major sponsors.

Sangil and Ilagan clinched the low gross plum with an even-par 36 in Round 2 for 102, edging first day co-leaders Christine Popp and Brixton Aw just by two points.
