Abary, Lee take low gross, net

MANILA, Philippines - Omie Abary scored a 70 while Lee Tong-wha carded a 71 to win the low gross and net titles in the first Regional Association of Treasurers and Assessors (REGATA) IV-A Calabarzon tournament held at the Sherwood Hills Golf Club in Trece Martires, Cavite recently.

Abary and Lee were among those who played in the one one-day event, organized by Bacoor City Assessor Teddy Dayday, which raised funds for the out-of-school youths and less fortunate constituents of REGATA IV-A Calabarzon area.

Sponsored by Gov. Jonvic Remulla, Vice Gov. Jolo Revilla and Bacoor City Mayor Stroke Revilla, the tournament also saw Hendrick Tan capture the Class A crown, Norman Carl Pahanel triumph in Class B and Vic Magpantay hoist the Class C plum.

Lee Min-young, Edgardo Paraiso, and Pol Mendoza were runners-up in the fund-raising affair also supported by InterConnect Systems Inc. (ICSI), Megafiber, Eagle Ridge Golf, Sherwood Hills and Ayala Land Inc.

Aside from Dayday, Nellie Gomez, Concepcion Viray, Erlinda Montenegro, Carlos Matabang, Ed Cedo, Isagani Guibio, Abner Prudente, Ronnie Valles, Cirilo Martal, Cecilia Tan, Nestor Concepcion and Rachel Magcalas were members of the organizing committee.
