AKCUPI dog shows slated Nov. 24

MANILA, Philippines - The Asian Kennel Club Union of the Philippines, Inc. (AKCUPI) will hold its 58th and 59th All Breed Championship Dog Shows on Sunday at the People’s Village of Tiendesitas en Frontera Verde, Ortigas Ave. corner E. Rodriguez Jr. Ave., Pasig City.

International all-breed dog show judges Adrian K. G. Tey of Malaysia and Edgar Gacula of the Philippines will adjudicate the shows which will start at 1 p.m. Tey, a graduate of Middlesex University in London, is a management consultant and currently a partner with a European consulting firm in Kuala Lumpur. He had written and contributed articles on dog breeding which were published in a monthly dog magazine. 

Gacula, on the other hand, served as president of the K-9 Taconphil Handlers Association of the Philippines, worked for two decades as chief trainer of the PET Hotel in Singapore. At present, he is the executive vice president of the Canine Handlers and Trainers Association of the Philippines (CHATAP).
