REGATA golfest slated

MANILA, Philippines - The first REGATA (Regional Association of Treasurers and Assessors) IV-A Calabarzon golf tournament unfolds Nov. 20 at Sherwood Hills Golf and Country Club in Cavite with more than a hundred players expected to participate.

The 18-hole event is aimed at raising funds for the out-of-school youth and less fortunate constituents of REGATA IV-A Calabarzon, according to Bacoor City assessor Teddy Dayday.

REGATA is headed by president Raymundo Salazar.

Dayday is also the chair of the organizing committee with Nellie Gomez, Concepcion Viray, Erlinda Montenegro, Carlos Matabang, Ed Sedo, Isagani Guibio, Abner Prudente, Ronnie Valles, Cirilo Martal, Cecilia Tan, Nestor Concepcion and Rachel Magcalas as members.

Up for grabs are the low gross and low net championships, and Divisions A, B and C titles under the System 36 format. The shotgun tee off is at 8:30 a.m. Tournament fee is P2,500, inclusive of giveaways, lunch buffet and raffle ticket.
