Anton sweeps Circuit Showdown at Clark

MANILA, Philippines - Carlos Anton dominated the field as he swept the Time Attack Series in the season finale of the 2013 Circuit Showdown at the Clark International Speedway in Pampanga recently.

Anton, a Castrol-Yokohama champion driver, capped his six-of-six campaign after steering his Mark Young-Hornitex race car to two minutes, 5.046-second run, six seconds clear of his pursuer.

“We can’t ask for more and we have just been truly blessed this year. It has been a perfect season for us in the time attack series posting the fastest time for the sixth time in six races. The Mark Young team and the Mohspeed engineers have worked hard all year and the results speak for themselves,” said Anton.

Anton  is backed by Yokohama, Castrol, Mark Young Racing, Cars Unlimited, Hornitex Laminated flooring, Special Stage, ASR suspensions, View Park Hotel and Autoshack.

Jason Young made it a double celebration for the team as he topped the Bracket E using the Honda Civic prepared by the same team. 

The seasoned drag racer clocked an almost perfect run of two minutes, 36.136 seconds to record his first win in a Time Attack event.

The team is now preparing an 800-horsepower Nissan GTR for the 2014 season.
