NCA stag fighter of year known tonite
MANILA, Philippines - Derby action is expected to be fierce when the National Cockers Alliance holds another six-stag derby today with no less than the NCA Fighter of the Year honors at stake at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
Edwin Tose leads the race with 23 points while Jun Soriano, Brown and Niño Yee all have 21 1/2 points followed by Arman Santos (20 1/2 points), Bebot Uy 19 1/2 points), Efren Canlas and Mario Villamor (19 points), and Boy de Roca (18 1/2).
Others fielding in their top-notch entries are Soriano, Brown, Niño Yee, Santos, Gov. Ito Ynares and Elan Nagaño, Tommy Chua, Osang dela Cruz, Pipo Soliman, Rene Medina, James Uy, Peter Unabia, Jesus Sison, Claude Bautista and Ka Luding.
Joining the event hosted by Patrick Antonio, Tonton Uy, Atong Ang, Edgar Santos and Ruel Ricafort are Eugene Martin, Gerry Escalona, Eric dela Rosa, Butchoy Olano, Jun and Rudy Jingco, Arnold Mendoza, Newton Isaac and Larry Rubinos.
Meanwhile, the next derby, sponsored by Sagupaan Complexor, will be a seven-stag event on Oct. 29.
