The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Arnie Taguines and Josh Jorge ably parried the challenge of their rivals to move closer to victory after the recent fourth round of the ICTSI-JGFP Inter-School Golf Championship Division 2 Developmental Tour at the Philippine Army Golf Club course.

Taguines of Colegio San Agustin made 42 for the second straight time and either of those two will count for her best-three-out-of-four-rounds total of 135 in the tourney conducted by The Junior Golfers League.

Jamina Uttoh of Notre Dame of Greater Manila outpointed Taguines with a 43 but remained six points behind at 129 in the girls Grade 4-7 going into the final two rounds of the weekends-only competition under the aegis of the Jungolf Foundation of the Philippines and sponsored by the International Container Terminal Services, Inc.

Jorge of Heaven’s Door Christian Academy got  into another shootout with Sean Granada of Don Bosco Mandaluyong and came out one point ahead, 51-50, in boys Grade 4-7.

The other sponsors of the event are Pancake House Group, Sizzlin’ Pepper, Teriyaki Boy, Philippine Golf Foundation, McDonald’s and Golf Depot.
