MCC Amateur tourney slated

MANILA, Philippines - The Metropolitan Chess Club holds its fifth amateur tournament this Sunday with another big field expected to vie for top honors in various divisions at Walter Mart Sucat in Parañaque City.

The one-day, seven-round Swiss system event, offering a total pot of P15,000, is open to kiddies, juniors, adults and seniors with an NCFP rating not over 1850.

Listup is ongoing and will end at 10 a.m. on Sunday at the mall’s event area near Homeplus. Fee is pegged at P350, inclusive of a meal and one chess board.
