Zubiri, Cruz top ABC singles bowl

MANILA, Philippines - Lito Zubiri of DN Steel scored a six-game series of 1278 to capture the Group I crown while Pinoy Cruz of Spurway copped the Group 2 title with a 1061 in the Architects Bowling Club’s singles event at the E Lanes Center in Greenhills, San Juan last week.

Nonoy de Jesus of Philflex Wires and Cables made a 1246, Buddy Segui of American Wires had a 1215 and Eugene Panaguiton of Dwightsteel scored a 1211 as they finished second, third and fourth, respectively, in Group I of the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Malou del Rosario of Philflex Wires and Cables submitted a 1044, Randy Pool of Duraflex TW Wires turned in a 1013 and Joseph de Guzman of Glass Asia had a 988 to place second, third and fourth, respectively, in Group 2.

Meanwhile, the event, backed by Eurolux Lightings, Steeltech, Moldex Pipes, WeKonstruct, Coach Furnitures, Greystone, Boysen Acrytex/Healthy Home/Knoxout/Virtuoso, Morning Sun, Concrete Ventures, Crown Pipes, Duraflex THHN/THW Wires and Emerald Pipes, resumes at 7 tonight with the staging of the Corporate Cup Singles, also at E Lanes.
