Invit’l golf unwraps at Valley

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Specials Invitational Golf Club unfolds on Thursday with a big field expected to see action in the fund-raiser set at the North Course of the Valley Golf and Country Club in Antipolo.

Proceeds of the 18-hole tournament will help fund the Philippine Specials, a soccer team composed of mentally challenged kids and teenagers.

AMICI Restaurants and The Center for Possibilities are spearheading the fund drive in cooperation with the Henry V. Moran Foundation.

Other backers of the event are Platinum sponsors Duty Free Phils., Davies Paints, Italfood and Globe; Gold sponsors Chef’s Classics, Eaglecor, Vegie-Mix, Pepsi, Gloriamaris, New Canaan Insurance and Citibank, and Silver sponsors Mister Donut, China Bank and ECCA Gallery.

The Philippine STAR is the event’s media partner.

An art exhibit and auction featuring the works of Ang Kiukok, Anita Magsaysay and Juvenal Sanso will be held immediately after the awards rites.
