Game 3 of UAAP Finals faces possible rescheduling as ‘Santi’ threatens Metro Manila
MANILA, Philippines – Game Three of the UAAP Finals between the De La Salle University Archers and University of Santo Tomas Tigers on Saturday may be rescheduled if typhoon Santi batters Metro Manila with heavy rains.
UAAP secretary treasurer Malou Isip said the knockout game, which will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena, will be moved to Oct. 16 in case heavy rains and flooding hit Manila tomorrow.
“In case storm Santi will cause floods tomorrow, men’s Game three will be moved to October 16, Wednesday, same time and same venue,†Isip said in a statement.
Isip advised ticket holders to stand by for an official announcement tomorrow.
“Same ticket will be honored. We will officially announce if there will be cancellation tomorrow morning (Saturday),†she added.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration has placed Metro Manila under storm signal No. 2.
The Tigers and Archers are tied at 1-1.
