Sports ed’s pa dies

MANILA, Philippines - Gregorio Frias-Eroa, who fought the Japanese invaders as a Philippine Scout during the war, died peacefully on Oct. 9 at the age of 90.

A naturalized American citizen, Eroa of Gumaca, Quezon, is the father of Libre sports editor Matias Dennis Eroa. 

His wife Virginia (deceased) was a retired public school teacher. He is survived by children Matias Dennis and Lorna, Ma. Crisanta and Carlos, sisters Meeng, Consor and Femia, and grandchildren Jef Mikael, Joachim Gregori, Matthaus Elijah, Pauline Allison, Bianca Verlyn and Adriane Carissa.

His remains lie at 3 Roxas Street , Bgy. Bagong Buhay, Gumaca Quezon. His remains will be interred on Oct. 14 at the Garden of Tranquility Memorial Park.
