Top sportsmen vie in NCA derby

MANILA, Philippines - The National Cockers Alliance holds a six-stag derby today with top breeders Manny and Armand Santos, Efren Canlas and Patrick Antonio’s entries tipped to clash for top honors at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

More than 128 fights have been lined up for the event hosted by Elan Nagaño, Claude Bautista, Tommy Chua, Osang dela Cruz and Edwin Tose.

Meanwhile, part of the proceeds of the event, sponsored by Sagupaan Complexor, will go to a scholarship fund for students at UP Los Baños.

Others fielding in their entries are Edsel Doo, Ricky Castillo, Sonny Soriano, John Paul, Engr. Prociss Aquino, Tady Palma, Marvin Rillo, Atty. Tumpalan, Vince Barabara, Max Roxas, Boyet Ynares, Eliong Hernandez and Roy, Atong Ang, Patrick Antonio, Remy Medrano, Bulldog, Sir Jomar V., Jun Mendoza, Bong Pineda, and Tarzan Lazatin.

Heading the NCA-member group are Allan Bantile, Rene Medina, Jesus Sison,  Antonio, Eric dela Rosa, Manny and Armand Santos, James Uy, Ruel Ricafort, Mario Villamor, Boy de Roca, Pipo Soliman, Ito Ynares, Luding Boongaling, Ang, Ralph Daigo, Jun Soriano, Arnold Mendoza, Efren Canlas, Jun and Rudy Jingco, Jet Fernando, Bebot Roxas, Tonton Uy, Edgar Santos, Johnny Jalandoni, Bebot Uy, Larry Rubinos, Peter Unabia and the Firefly Group.
