SBP-Passerelle NCR finals slated Oct 5

MANILA, Philippines - Passerelle teams dominated their rivals as San Beda-Rizal, Ateneo, University of Santo Tomas and the host school Xavier kept their winning forms in the Best Center-organized Small Basketeers Philippines-Passerelle twin tournaments.

SBC-Rizal routed Ateneo-B to remain as the only unbeaten team on top of Group A at 3-0 (wins-loss) while relegating its victim down to fourth at 1-3.

La Salle also scuttled Lourdes School of Madaluyong, 54-36, for its second win in three games. Lourdes remained at the bottom at 0-3.

Host Xavier School-A annexed its fourth straight victory with a walkover win over Kids World Christian Academy, which fell to 0-4.

Nazareth School trounced St. Mary’s College, 82-37, to tie Marist School, which nipped La Salle Greenhills-B, 67-64, at 3-1.

St. Mary and LSGH slid to 1-3.

UST whipped St. Anthony School, 57-20, to claim its fourth straight win for the lead in Group C.

St. Paul College-Makati edged Don Bosco-Makati, 62-58, for its third win in five games and in a tie with Paref-Southridge, which blasted La Salle-Zobel-B, 54-38.

Paref-Southridge is down at 3-2 while DLSZ-B is still winless in five games.

Ateneo A still tops in Group D as it clinched its fourth straight win, a 62-41 rout of Xavier-B. 

Chiang Kai Shek remained on chase of the Eaglets as it smothered Notre Dame of Greater Manila, 63-49, for its third win in four games. Notre Dame sank further at 1-3.
