MANILA, Philippines - Formula-E Racing new recruit Larco Rafael Pesigan Cortez stretched his winning streak to four following another convincing sweep in the Formula Cadet Novice division recently in the Enchanted Kingdom leg of the 2013 Coca-Cola Karting Super Series at the EK Kart Track in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

Racing for the  first time under heavy downpour, the 11-year-old Don Bosco-Makati student showed the same intensity, control and driving consistency as he took the measure of more experienced Expert karters to underscore his billing as  the most promising young discovery this season,

Larco again swept the qualifying heat, the pre-final and the final race as the win widened his lead over his rivals with 409 points.

Formula-E Racing Management chief Elson Carpio admitted that Larco continues to surprise him coming up with something new in every race.

He never thought Larco could race in the rain without the jitters.

“He’s a fast learner and a good listener.  I guess that’s why he’s becoming more competitive, showing something new in each leg. And it’s all rooted in his passion and dedication to his craft and I wouldn’t be surprised if he’ll mature early in his career and become a big champion  in two or three years,” Carpio said.
