Manchester United to face Liverpool in League Cup
LONDON — Manchester United and Liverpool have been drawn against each other in the third round of the League Cup for a match that could see the return of Luis Suarez.
The Liverpool striker, who was banned for 10 matches last season after biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic, will miss the Premier League match between the two rivals Sunday but could feature in their League Cup encounter if he stays on Merseyside.
Suarez has been pushing for a move during the summer but Liverpool has continually confirmed that he is not for sale.
Other all-Premier League matches are: Aston Villa hosting Tottenham, Arsenal at West Bromwich Albion, West Ham taking on Cardiff and Fulham facing Everton. Last season's winner Swansea will start the defense of its title against Birmingham.
