MANILA, Philippines -- De La Salle Green Archers sustained their amazing run in the second round of the UAAP Season 76 routing winless UP Fighting Maroons, 85-63, Saturday at the Smart Araneta Colisum.
Jason Perkins had a monster game of 19 and 16 rebounds to lead the Archers to their third straight win while dealing the Maroons their ninth staight loss and spoil the debut of coach Rey Madrid.
Veterans Norbert Torres and Almond Vosotros added 16 each for the Archers, who improved to 6-4.
La Salle bucked a slow start before pulling away for good late in the third period.
Like their previous losses before former coach Ricky Dandan stepped down, the Maroons figured in another second half meltdown after leading by as many as seven in the opening half.
Henry Asilum paced the Maroons with 18 points.
