MANILA, Philippines - The Coca-Cola Karting Super Series stages its sixth leg tomorrow with the field facing a tougher test at the short and narrow course of the Enchanted Kingdom kart track in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
Last year’s Cadet Karter of the Year Tai Zulberti of CityKart and young ace Eduardo Coseteng Jr. hope to continue their streaks as they take on a slew of talented rivals seeking to boost their respective title bids in the event sanctioned by the Automobile Association Philippines.
Zulberti goes all-out for the win to solidify his hold of the lead in the Mini-ROK class of the event sponsored by Coca-Cola Philippines and Yokohama. He has 288 points and a 23-point margin over two Tuason Racing bets – defending champion Flynn Jackes and William Casequin, who pooled 265 and 209 points, respectively.
Jacob Ang of Eagle Cement is also tipped to crowd Zulberti and the other top guns along with Bianca Bustamante of Formula-E Racing, Sean Draeco McLelland, Mickey Jordan, Liam Sacal and Dylan Arambulo of Tough Gear Racing.
Coseteng Jr., son of multi-titled champion Jody Coseteng, grabbed the solo lead in the Formula Cadet Expert division following his Boomland victory. He now has 269 points, 28 points ahead of Jackes, who has 241 points.
Also expected to contend are Bianca Bustamante, Sean Draeco McLelland, Mickey Jordan and last year’s Formula Cadet Novice champion Jose Luigi Lachica of One Racing.
Larco Cortez of Formula-E Racing, meanwhile, shoots for his fourth straight triumph in the Formula Cadet Novice class as he goes up against Julia delos Angeles, Jarred Kim of TRS Racing Kids and Bobby Redpath of AUTSRacing.
