PTCC series banners return of TRS raceday
MANILA, Philippines - The Tuason Racing School will bring back the TRS aceday on Aug. 24-25 as part of the country’s longest-running racing school’s 15th anniversary celebrations at the Batangas Racing Circuit in Rosario, Batangas.
The event is expected to draw a big number of motorsports enthusiasts with the organizers lining up a series of activities and race for the crowd, corporate sponsors and executives of the automotive industry as well as racing aspirants and professional race car drivers.
The Philippine Touring Car Championship will be one of the major highlights of the TRS Raceday, backed by Bridgestone, Standard Insurance, PUMA, Coke Zero, Acer, OMP, C!Magazine, Oakley, Aguila Auto Glass, Go Pro, Lifeline Ambulance, Karate Kid, Toptul, Elig, Bellevue, Rota, Brembo and Has Travel.
The PTCC, organized by the AAP and the Philippine Race Car Drivers Inc, is expecting more than 20 cars to compete in both 100 and 200 classes.
The TRS has been providing cost effective and accessible entry into motorsports for both karting and circuit car racing following global standards. It also organizes grassroots races where new racers can hone and build their skills efficiently under the school’s professional and internationally-trained coaches.
The TRS-Bridgestone Retro Race, the 2012 favorite event, has now grown in numbers and is expected to bring in more than 40 cars on the grid. The TRS-Bridgestone Retro Race is one of the most successful back-to-basic grassroots motorsports races that had almost 30 cars on the grid last year.
