SLI launches Sta. Lucia golf tour

MANILA, Philippines - Premier real estate and golf course developer Sta. Lucia Land (SLI) recently launched the Sta. Lucia Golf Tour (SLGT) 2013, the annual golfing event gathering members and guests from Sta. Lucia golf clubs across the country.

Comprised of two legs, the SLGT 2013 is slated on Oct. 3-5 ( Davao leg) and Nov. 7-9  (Manila leg). Participating golf clubs are Orchard, Eagle Ridge, Alta Vista, Caliraya Springs, Summit Point, Beverly Place, Royale Tagaytay, Lakewood, Rancho Palos Verdes, and Apo Golf.

“For 13 years now, the Sta. Lucia Golf Tour has been the paramount golfing event for the Sta. Lucia golf clubs, encouraging member participation and healthy competition among the clubs. It has proven to be an excellent way to showcase Sta. Lucia’s world-class golf facilities,” states SLI president Exequiel Robles.

Due to popular demand, the SLGT 2013 returns to its original format, the 4-Man Team Modified Stableford Competition, Four to Play Three to Count.

“The return to the Modified Stableford is expected to once again fuel the friendly rivalry among the participating golf clubs,” explains Vicente Santos, SLI chairman of the board and SLGT organizing committee chair.

Each team is required to have at least one member of a participating Sta. Lucia golf club. To register, teams must submit completed registration forms and full payment at their club’s sports or golf office. Entry fees are inclusive of airfare and hotel accommodations (for Davao leg), tournament uniforms, four 18-hole rounds of golf, two practice rounds, tournament snacks, use of golf carts during tournament dates, souvenir items, hole-in-one prizes, and a chance to win two Summit Point Class A Shares, two Eagle Ridge Class A shares, and one Orchard Class A share (all free of monthly dues for one year).

Proceeds of the tournament will go to the Sta. Lucia Intermediate Amateur (Inter-Am) Golf Foundation, Inc.
