BEST Center offers weekend cage clinics

MANILA, Philippines - BEST Center, the country’s pioneer sports clinic, is now offering weekend clinics for kids who want to learn the fundamentals of basketball and volleyball in a scientific way.

Sponsored by Milo, in cooperation with RCBC Savings Bank, the weekend clinics are being held in three venues starting Aug. 31 until Oct. 12.

On Saturdays, the Ateneo college covered courts will offer clinics in Introduction to Basketball,  levels 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. while the Fr. Rafael Cortina Sports Center at Xavier School will have clinics for Introduction to Basketball, levels 1, 2, 3, and 4 from 1-4p.m.

During Sundays, the Starmall Sports Center at the third floor of the Starmall-Alabang will offer clinics in levels 1, 2, 3 and 4 from 1-4:30 p.m.

Volleyball clinics will likewise be offered at the Ateneo covered court every Saturday from 1-4 p.m.

Now celebrating 35 years of producing basketball legends, BEST Center was founded by former national coach Nic Jorge to give aspiring basketball players a scientific approach to training, as well as inspire kids to get into a healthy, active lifestyle.

Best Center is the pioneer scientific sports clinic in the country and was cited with an Olympism Award by the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC), and installed in the Hall of Fame by the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA). The BEST Center has produced the likes of PBA Philippine Cup finals Most Valuable Player Larry Fonacier, SMART-Gilas Pilipinas captain Chris Tiu, Powerade Tigers all-star guard JV Casio and reigning PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals MVP James Yap.
