Timberwolves, Turiaf agree on 2-year, $3.2M deal

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Timberwolves and veteran power forward Ronny Turiaf have agreed to a two-year, $3.2 million contract.

Turiaf's agent, Mark Bartelstein, confirmed the deal in a phone interview on Thursday night. Bartelstein said Turiaf was encouraged by the direction of the franchise under new boss Flip Saunders and excited by the style of play used by coach Rick Adelman.

Turiaf played sparingly last season for the Los Angeles Clippers. But the 30-year-old started seven playoff games for the champion Miami Heat in 2012 after joining them down the stretch and has 47 postseason games on his resume.

Turiaf will join his sixth team in less than four years and the seventh of his career. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers in 2005.
