PLDT-MyDSL, Cignal, Cagayan seek No. 2

MANILA, Philippines - Three teams seek their second straight victories while three other squads go for big rebounds at resumption of the Philippine Super Liga women’s volleyball tournament today at The Arena in San Juan.

PLDT-MyDSL, which stunned fancied Bingo Milyonaryo, 22-25, 25-18, 25-22, 25-20, in last Sunday’s inaugurals, hopes to make it two-in-row as it faces off with Petron in the 6 p.m. main game.

But the Petron spikers are expected to go all out as they try to bounce back from their 22-25, 17-25, 23-25 defeat to the Cignal side.

Cignal, meanwhile, tackles TMS-Philippine Army, which lost a hard-fought match to Cagayan Valley, 25-23, 25-27, 26-24, 14-25, 15-12, in the 2 p.m. opener.

Cagayan Valley, on the other hand, squares off with Bingo Milyonaryo at 4 p.m.

The Arena, through San Juan Mayor Guia Gomez, will be open to the public today and on Friday when PLDT-MyDSL faces Cagayan Valley at 2 p.m.; Petron plays TMS-Philippine Army at 4 p.m.; and PCSO-Bingo Milyonaryo tangles with Cignal at 6 p.m.

Games at the Philsports Arena will resume on Sunday.
