5 matches kick off Fr. Martin caging

MANILA, Philippines - The 11th Fr. Martin Division 2 Cup basketball tournament gets going this Saturday with five games on tap at the Trinity University of Asia gymnasium in Quezon City.

San Sebastian tangles with TUA at 9:30 a.m. while San Beda collides with Enderun College at 12:30 p.m. in the premier seniors division.

UE and TUA kick off hostilities in the juniors category at 8 a.m., St. Joseph-Bulacan and Chiang Kai Shek-B faces off at 11 a.m. while Adamson and Mapua slug it out at 1 p.m.

Thirty-six school teams are competing in the tournament, including defending seniors champion University of the East.

Hope Christian School, meanwhile, seeks back-to-back victories in the juniors side which drew 18 squads.

Other schools participating are Ateneo, Arellano University, Jose Rizal U, St. Benilde, Lyceum and Diliman Preparatory School in the seniors Group A with La Salle and UP heading the Group B cast that also includes National U, Perpetual Help, Letran, Emilio Aguinaldo College and Angeles University Foundation.
