MANILA, Philippines - Jimmy Ocampo of Duraflex THW Wires stamped his class in Group I while Joseph de Guzman of Glass Asia topped Group 2 as they led the winners in the Architects Bowling Club’s singles event at the E Lanes Center in Greenhills, San Juan last week.
Ocampo rolled a four-game series of 841 to beat Eugene Panaguiton of Dwightsteel (838), Hermie Prudente of Boysen Wallguard (812) and Ronnie Javier of Miraga Trading (802) for the Group 1 crown in the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.
De Guzman, on the other hand, assembled 754 to topple Bert Magsakay of Steeltech (683), Abe Firmeza of Energetix (681) and Vic Sison of Coach Furnitures (668) for the Group 2 title.
The tournament, backed by DN Steel, Moldex Pipes, August Alliance, WeKonstruct, HCG Phils., Spurway, Greystone, Boysen Acrytex/Knoxout/Healthy Homes/Virtuoso, Duraflex THHN/TW Wires, Philflex Wires and Cables, Emerald Pipes, Crown Pipes, Concrete Ventures, JS Alvarez and Morning Sun, resumes at 7 tonight with the holding of the Doubles event, also at E Lanes.
