MCC chessfest slated in Sucat

MANILA, Philippines - The Metropolitan Chess Club will stage the amateur chess tournament starting at 10:30 a.m. on July 21 at Walter Mart Sucat.

The seven-round Swiss system tournament is open for beginners, unrated and rated players with NCFP rating of 1850 and below. 

Events on tap are the kiddies, 12-under and 16-under, unrated, ladies and seniors divisions.

Backing the one-day tournament is US-based philanthropist Rosita Lee and F & B Glass Aluminum, Supplies and Services Corp.
