Magsino shines in Asian Jr Masters

MANILA, Philippines - Jean Magsino placed second overall in the girls 23-under of the Mercedes-Benz Junior Golf Championship Asian Master Final recently held at the Burapha Golf and Country Club in Pattaya, Thailand.

Magsino, 21,  was one of four Filipinos who represented the Philippines in the tournament participated in by more than 300 golfers from about 15 countries, including China, Hong Kong, Myanmar, Malaysia, India, Taiwan and Thailand.

Also part of the team were Johanna Magsino, Justin Magsino and Carlo Antonio Gatmaytan with coach Sonny Almazan.

The 18-year-old Johanna Magsino also competed in the 23-under girls, while Justin Magsino, 12, played in the 12-under boys and Gatmaytan, 14, in the 14-under boys.
