UAAP Season 76 fires off

MANILA, Philippines – The 76th season of the UAAP has officially started, ushered in by an elaborate opening ceremony from host Adamson University at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City Saturday.

“Greatness should live on forever and greatness starts here in the UAAP," said Adamson president Father Gregorio Bañaga Jr. "A lot of our national athletes came from the UAAP and we hope to continue that tradition.”

Adamson opted for a colorful opening ceremony with all eight teams taking part in an exciting ensemble, taking turns with dance numbers.

Adamson's Jericho Cruz of the Soaring Falcon's basketball team lit the torch for this season,  which has the theme “Greatness never ends”.
