Ultra marathon man completes ME run

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Global runner Cesar Guarin, back from his successful Middle East run, is setting his sights on a tougher North America campaign, a 2,500km, three-month solo run in Alaska, Vancouver and other key cities in the West Coast in October.

Guarin covered six countries and a total distance of 932kms that lasted 30 days in his Middle East run, kicking off in Bahrain then in Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman and winding up in United Arab Emirates.

GMA International, the international arm of leading broadcast company GMA Network, is backing the veteran distance runner’s campaign since his Australian leg last year and has renewed its partnership with Guarin and The Global Run (GR) team for this ME leg.

“We are proud of Cesar Guarin for successfully completing his Middle East run, which was deemed as his most challenging global run stage of all,” said GMA vice president and head of International Operations Joseph Francia.
