Juico Cup unfolds at Wack Wack

MANILA, Philippines - A brand-new Chrysler Town and Country Van and a set of irons are but two of the top prizes staked for hole-in-one feats when the third Felipe S. Juico Memorial Cup is held today at Wack Wack Golf and Country Club’s West Course.

CATS Motors is putting up the Chrysler van on No. 3 while Dynamic Sports is giving away a set of irons for an ace on No. 8. Also up for grabs for hole-in-one feats are golf cart on No. 11 courtesy of Club Cars and a home fitness package from Toby’s Sports on No. 14.

A maximum field of 144 invited players from various fields, including those in the government and private sectors, are seeing action in the 18-hole tournament put up by Wack Wack president Philip Ella Juico and his family to honor the memory of his father and the late president of Wack Wack (1972-73), who would have turned 109 yesterday (June 7).

A dinner-dance will cap the day-long affair sponsored by Toki Japanese Restaurant, Splash Corp., LARES, Shell, Globe, Security Bank Corp., Pascual Laboratories, G & W Club Shares, Chronos Watches, Duty Free Phils., Amb. Antonio Cabangon-Chua, Camp John Hay, the Manor, Gourdo’s, Sol Marina Resort, Boracay, Sterling Phils. and The Plaza.
