MANILA, Philippines - El Nido, of Palawan-born Dicky Lim of the Thunderbird Sabongnation team, posted seven wins against one loss to emerge one of three three winners in the World Slasher Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum last Sunday.
Lim earned his seventh point in the four-cock championship round while Luding Boongaling’s (L.B. Candelaria) and Patrick Antonio (Sagupaan B50) both won in their last fights to likewise finish with seven points.
Antonio’s only loss was against that of Lim’s El Nido, while Boongaling lone defeat was handed by Rhemy Medrano’s Center of Center.
Gerry Ramos’ AAO Hitchcock-1 ended up with 6.5 points, blowing his bid for the solo championship after losing to Lito Cay’s Goldline Farm.
