Pachanga-Diliman too quick for Air Force

MANILA, Philippines – Pachanga-Diliman made a quick work of a struggling Phil. Air Force side to climb back to fourth spot in the United Football League with a 3-0 demolition Thursday night at the Emperador Stadium in McKinley Hill.

OJ Clarino, Andrew Santiago and Ian Mariano scored in rapid succession inside the first 18 minutes of play to shoot down the Airmen.

Clarino first opened fire with only three minutes gone after the kick-off then Samaniego doubled the lead in the 10th minute with both goals coming off headers made possible by the assists of Boyet Canedo.

Mariano sealed the deal for the 2012 second division champions in the 17th minute with an explosive one-on-one play.

Their eight win of the season against one draw and seven losses allowed Pachanga-Diliman to catch Kaya at fourth spot with 25 points total but still lags behind on goal difference.

The Airmen, meanwhile, absorbed their fourth straight loss and are now getting closer to automatic relegation to the second division with only a small two-point lead over cellar-dweller Phil. Army.
