Dog shows up at Tiendesitas

MANILA, Philippines - The Asian Kennel Club Union of the Philippines, Inc. (AKCUPI) will hold another three International All-Breed dog shows on Sunday starting at 1 p.m. at the People’s Village of Tiendesitas, Ortigas Ave., Pasig City.

Gordon Lai Kam Wai, an international all-breed judge of the Oriental Kennel Club of HK, and Michael Buenaflor and Jester Jo Ong Chuan of the Philippines will adjudicate the shows.

Wai, a respected breeder, dog show exhibitor, professional handler and groomer in Hong Kong, is known since 1989 for breeding and exhibiting dogs notably American Cocker Spaniel, Afghan Hound, Shih Tzu, Boxers and Doberman.

Buenaflor has been involved in the canine world for the past two decades and served as president of the Iloilo Kennel Club, a member and past director of the Western Visayas German Shepherd Dog Association while Ong Chuan, the president of the American Cocker Spaniel Club of the Philippines, an AKCUPI affiliate, is the chairman of the Judges Invitation Committee.
