Javier, Martinez top ABC singles bowl

MANILA, Philippines - Ronnie Javier of Miraga Trading rolled a six-game series of 1258 to capture the Group I crown while Ricky Martinez of Coach Furniture scored 1070 to bag the Group 2 title in the Architects Bowling Club’s singles event at the E Lanes Center in Greenhills, San Juan last week.

Joan Mendoza of Morning Sun made a 1243, Joey del Rosario of Duraflex TW Wires scored a 1239 while Nepthy del Rosario of Boysen Acrytex turned in a 1238 to finish second, third and fourth, respectively, in Group I in the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Zeny Prudente of Moldex Pipes submitted a 1051, Joan Lay of Glass Asia had a 1011 and Bert Magsakay of Emerald Pipes scored a 995 to place second, third and fourth, respectively, in Group 2.

The tournament, backed by DN Steel, August Alliance, WeKonstruct, HCG Phils., Spurway, Energetix, Dwightsteel, Greystone, JS Alvarez Elect. Contractor, Concrete Ventures, Crown Pipes, Philflex Wires and Cables, Duraflex THHN/THW Wires and Boysen Healthy Homes/Virtuoso/Knoxout, resumes at 7 tonight with the holding of the monthly championship, also at E Lanes.
