Domingo gains 2nd in Asian Kart Open

MANILA, Philippines - Nasri Naufal Bin Nasir of Singapore edged Bobby Domingo of Industria Racing in a neck-and-neck battle to rule the first leg of the 2013 Asian Karting Open Championship at the Carmona Race Track in Cavite recently.

Nasir and Domingo fought it out from the second lap to the end of the 28-lap final heat of the event with the duo taking turns for the lead before the Singaporean overtook the Filipino bet with two laps to go.

Domingo tried to overtake one last time at the last corner but Nasir shrugged off the challenge up to the finish line, winning by just 1/12th of a second.

Nasir finished with a time of 20 minutes and 21.67 seconds while Domingo turned in a 20-minute, 21.75- second clocking.

Sacha Feliciano came in third in 20 minutes and 22.11 seconds while Daniel Miranda and CJ Tsui finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
