Laguna, Cebu eye 3rd Coke Youngstars win

MANILA, Philippines - Laguna and Cebu gun for their third straight win as they square off with separate rivals today in the National Championships of the Coca-Cola PBA Youngstars at the JCSGO gym in Cubao, Quezon City.

Laguna battles winless San Juan (0-2) at 8 a.m. while Cebu faces KABAKA-Manila (1-1) at 9:30 a.m. Pampanga (1-1) meets struggling Cagayan de Oro (0-2) at 11 a.m.

Pampanga represents Northern Luzon, Southern Luzon has Laguna, Visayas has Cebu, and Mindanao has Cagayan de Oro. San Juan and KABAKA-Manila represent the National Capital Region.

In previous results, Laguna blasted Pampanga, 78-45, and turned back Cagayan de Oro, 80-72; Cebu beat Cagayan de Oro, 40-31 and won via default over San Juan; while KABAKA-Manila downed NCR rival San Juan, 62-48, but bowed to Pampanga, 55-60.

Coca-Cola Philippines, led by Teejae Sonza, trademark marketing manager, and Bessie Adea, corporate communications manager, is backing this annual PBA-organized tournament.
