AMA holds ‘Amazing’ 3on3 in June
MANILA, Philippines - AMA University is holding in June the AMAZING 3on3 basketball tournament open to clubs in the National Capital Region with a chance to compete in the national finals in December.
AMA sports director Mark Herrera said the tournament, to be held on the various AMA campuses in Metro Manila, will have two age divisions – one for those born 2000 and 2001 and the other for those born in 1995-1996 – with each team to be made up of four players.
“This will be a great opportunity for the new breed of players since FIBA-Asia now has a 3on3 tournament,†said Herrera, coach of the Phl 13-Under team.
The tournament, supported by Ambassador Amable R. Aguiluz, AMA vice president Arnel Hibo and sports adviser Aldric Manrique, is sponsored by Cherifer Vitamins, Johnny Rockets and AMA Bank.
The NCR champion will compete in the national championship slated in Davao City in December.
