Lourdes, LSGH forge title duel in Seaoil NBTC

MANILA, Philippines - Lourdes School of Mandaluyong and La Salle Greenhills took different routes as they sealed a championship showdown in the Seaoil NBTC 12-U National Championship today at the Jacinto Tiu Competition Court at Xavier School.

Gametime is set at 2 p.m.

Alejandrio Pangan scored 24 points and Vincent Reguero added 15 markers as Lourdes School turned back Escuela de Sophia of Caloocan, 65-62, in the semifinals.

Andrei Carino had 22 points while Cristopher Perio and Saymond Male added 15 and 11 markers for Escuela de Sophia, respectively.

In the other Final Four matchup, powerhouse La Salle-Greenhills, behind the 17 points of Julian Jugo and the double-digit support of Vehsamin Maximo (12), Matthew Concepcion (10), and Immanuel Lim (10), overwhelmed Ateneo, 73-44.

Miguel Cabradilla had 18 points and Yves Lazaro added 10 markers for Ateneo.

All four NCR semifinalists have qualified for the Seaoil NBTC 12U National Championship set May 16-18 at Philsports Arena in Pasig.

They will be joined by Sacred Heart-Ateneo de Cebu, Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan and two more provincial teams.

Meanwhile, All-Star balloting has started for the Seaoil NBTC 12U Elite Training Camp set May 21-23.

The top 40 players who will be joining the camp will be trained by top coaches in the Philippines alongside program director Eric Altamirano and camp facilitator Alex Compton.
