MANILA, Philippines -- After losing Game 1 to Ginebra, Talk n Text was dealt another big blow as Jared Dillinger met a car accident at the wee hours of Saturday.
Talk n Text coach Norman Black confirmed the news to Philstar.com but refused to elaborate.
"The only thing I know is that Jared (Dillinger) met a car accident earlier today. He won't be playing tomorrow," said Black before his team went to practice Saturday afternoon at the Moro Lorenzo Gym inside the Ateneo Campus.
Details of the accident are still sketchy at this point.
Team captain Jimmy Alapag along with Harvey Carey and Ali Peek made a visit at the Makati Medical Center before practice to check on their teammate. Alapag begged off to talk about the incident but said that Dillinger is now alright.
The Tropang Texters are already missing Ali Peek and Kelly Williams to injuries and Dillinger's accident poses another challenge to the Manny V. Pangilinan-owned team that is bidding for a back-to-back championship and fifth in the last eight conferences.
Game 2 of their best-of-five semifinal series against Ginebra will be played tomorrow.
