Damian cops 2 Head crowns

MANILA, Philippines - Noel Damian showed determination to capture two titles in the fourth leg of 2013 HEAD Junior Satellite Circuit national tennis age-group tournament recently at the Zamboanga tennis courts in Zamboanga City.

Damian relied on fiery backhand attacks to beat Dudik Salip in the boys’ singles 18-under finals, 6-0, 6-1, for his first title in the tournament supported by Smart Sports, Chris Sports, Meralco, Maynilad, Toalson and Head, the official tennis ball.

“I’m hoping for more improvement – that’s why I’m doing my best,” said Damian, who also dominated last year’s Zamboanga leg. “I really need to work hard to hone my tennis skills.”

He , took the trophy also in the boys’ singles 16-under division after beating Auzidee Imlan in the finals, 6-4, 6-2.
