NCA derby unfolds at Ynares today

MANILA, Philippines - The battle for the National Cockers Alliance cocker of the year award heats up today with the leading bets fielding in their best entries in the NCA derby at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Claude Bautista has piled up 50 points to pace the field with Cesar Dy scoring 42 1/2 and Beboy Uy half-a-point behind with 42 followed by Osang dela Cruz and Tommy Chua with 41 points apiece.

Also in the hunt are Eric dela Rosa, Butchoy Olano and Ruel Ricafort who have 40 1/2 points while Ernie Austria, and Manny and Arman Santos tote 39 points each.

Today’s derby, sponsored by Sagupaan Complexor, is hosted by Efren Canlas, Jimafer, and Cesar Dy with Bong Pineda, Leng Tuaño, Renato dela Cruz, Manny Vendiola and Ruben Santos leading the guest’s list.

Meanwhile, the NCA World Championship Derby will be held May 21, 23 and 25 with the country’s top breeders/cockers pitting their top entries against those from the US.
