Three share NCA derby top honors
MANILA, Philippines - Rep. Claude Bautista’s CPB AAO, Efren Canlas’ Jimafer BG and Natividad of Cesar Dy scored similar 4 1/2 points to rule the National Cockers Alliance derby at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City last week.
Natividad and CPB AAO were shooting for solo championship but both lost their last fights, enabling Jimafer BG to share top honors.
JT Emerald FFG of Jap Atienza and Jun Topacio finished solo fourth with four points while Jade Resort 2 of Arman Santos and NI Armen of Newton Isaac and Arnold Mendoza wound up with 3 1/2 points apiece.
GCT Tiffany of Gerry Teves, Diego IKA-RT 114 of EDR and Boss Butchoy, Firefly 13 of Ernie Austria and LB Candelaria of Ka Luding and Rey Soberano ended up with three points each.
Meanwhile, the NCA will stage another top-notch derby on Tuesday with Vic Yap, Bebot Roxas, Allan Bantile and Claude Bautista hosting the event sponsored by Sagupaan Complexor.
Expected to field in their top entries are NCA members Elan Nagano, Boyet Joson, Rene Medina, Bebot Uy, Tommy Chua, Osang dela Cruz, Arnold Mendoza, Isaac Newton, Eugene Martin, Luding Boongaling, Joel and Danny Teves, Rudy Albano, Jimmy Ang;
Ito Ynares, Gerry Ramos, Boy Valenzuela, Mario Villamor, Eric dela Rosa, Butchoy Olano, Nestor Mercado, Lito Orillaza, Jun Santiago, Atong Ang, Many and Armand Santos, Efren Canlas, Jimafer and Cesar Dy.
