John Hay Invit’l slated April 20-21

MANILA, Philippines - The ninth Camp John Hay invitational tournament, the posh golf club’s premier member-guest event, will be held April 20-21 with another huge field expected to see action.

The two-man team, 36-hole competition will use the Modified Stableford scoring system (full handicap) with each pair composed of a CJHGC member and his guest.

Play will be best ball on the first day and aggregate in the final round of the event sponsored by MegaFiber and backed by Canon, Rocky Mt. Café, Hill Station, Herr Bautista, Sherwood Hills and Marcons Suites Townhouse.

Practice rounds will be from April 15 to 19 with welcome cocktails set at 6 p.m. at the Little Camp John Hay on April 20. The awards rites on April 21 will be held at the CJHGC clubhouse.

Team classifications will be Class A (0-9), Class B (10-15), Class C (16-20) and Class D (21-27). Organizers have also lined up a sponsors/guest division to be played under the Aggregate-Blind Callaway format.

Registration is ongoing. Fee is pegged at P4,000 for each team, inclusive of practice round, green fees, giveaways, cocktails and dinner, and raffle prizes.
