Petron taps ex-Hoya to replace White

Joey Villar, Nelson Beltran - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – Having lost its last two games with Rodney White, Petron is looking at former Georgetown Hoya Henry Sims who flies in tomorrow.

Sims was recruited from the Erie BayHawks team in the NBA D-League. The 6-foot-10 center/forward, who has just turned 23, suited up with Georgetown from 2008-2012 and played with the Utah Jazz and the Chicago Bulls in the 2012 NBA Summer League. He signed with the New York Knicks but was waived at the end of the preseason.

On March 3, Sims signed a 10-day contract with the New Orleans Hornets. Released on March 12, the Baltimore, Maryland native returned to the BayHawks.

The highlight of his career was being named to the Prospects All-Star roster for the 2013 NBA D-League All-Star Game.
