IM Dimakiling joins Chessmate staff

MANILA, Philippines - International Master Oliver Dimakiling is the newest additional chess instructor for the Checkmate summer chess clinics sponsored by Milo.

Dimakiling is one of the country’s leading players. He recently topped the Mayor Allen Singson Cup – Candon City Chess Championship organized by NCFP at Candon City Civic Center recently.

He will handle the intermediate and advanced courses of the longest running chess school.

Other Checkmate teachers, headed by two-time Olympian player WNM Mila Emperado, include National Master Noel dela Cruz, NM Jerome Balico, NM Emmanuel Emperado, NM Marie Joseph Turqueza, NU coach Jose Aquino Jr., former UE champ Cris Codiñera Jr., veterans non masters Ed Campos Jr., former varsity player of RTU, Steven Dacanay of UST, Adrian Perez of San Sebastian and guest lecturer Russian IM Nikolay Andrianov.
