CSA, Hope Christian, Escuela lead WVL

Hope Christian High School and Colegio San Agustin go head-to-head during the Women’s Volleyball League 17-Under Competitive Division championship games.  

MANILA, Philippines - Colegio San Agustin, Hope Christian High school, Escuela de Sophia of Caloocan top Women’s Volleyball League.

Colegio San Agustin, Makati led the roster of winners in the championship games of the recently concluded 17th Women’s Volleyball League (WVL).

  Held at San Beda College, Manila, a total of 63 teams from different schools competed in the Developmental and Competitive category.

In the 13-Under Developmental Division, Colegio San Agustin, Makati had an intense match with Jubilee Christian Academy but still claimed the championship trophy with scores 19-25, 25-13, 25-20. St. Joseph School of Fairview and St. Paul College Makati, respectively, took third and fourth place.

Colegio San Agustin, Makati also took home the crown in the 13-Under Competitive Division after beating Dr. Rafael V. Palma Elementary School, 25-17, 25-14. In third place is San Beda College Alabang, while St. Scholastica’s College, Manila ranked fourth.

Meanwhile, Hope Christian High School dominated over Colegio San Agustin in the 17-Under Competitive Division 25-17, 25-17, 25-18, sealing the first place. King’s Montessori School placed third and St. Scholastica’s College, Manila placed fourth.

 In the 17-under Developmental Division, Escuela Sophia of Caloocan, Inc. defeated School of St. Anthony 25-18, 25-20, claiming the championship title. St. Scholastica’s College, Manila and St. Peter The Apostle School placed third and fourth, respectively.

  And finally, the sportsmanship awards which are valued the most by BEST Center, went to Academy of God’s Children for the 17-under Competitive Division; St. Paul College, Makati for the 17-under Developmental Division; St. Scholatica’s Manila for the 13-under Competitive Division; and again St. Paul College, Makati for the 13-under Developmental Division.
