V-League stars hold camp at Ateneo gym

MANILA, Philippines - Eleven of the leading players of the Shakey’s V-League make up the star-studded roster of trainers when the league holds its outreach volleyball camp tomorrow at the Ateneo gym in Quezon City.

Nerissa Bautista, Angela Benting, Fille Cainglet, Rachel Ann Daquis, Jheck Dionela, Jem Ferrer, Cherry Macatangay, Sue Roces, Pau Soriano, Rhea Dimaculangan and Alyssa Valdez will share their expertise in the two-session clinic, which will feature the basic skills training, including digging, setting, spiking and serving.

The day-long clinic will be capped by a mini-game among participants.

Ateneo coach Roger Gorayeb is the camp director.

The camp is open to girls 6-18 years old on a first-come, first-served basis. Free listup starts at 8 a.m. with priority to be given to public school students. All participants must present their IDs and wear white T-shirts, playing shorts and rubber shoes.
