Socceroo turns back Forza side

Joey Villar - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Team Socceroo unleashed a pair of goals in the second half as it turned back Forza FC, 2-1, to remain on top of the Second Division in the United Football League at the McKinley Hill grounds in Taguig City.

Forza FC actually took charge early behind the 16th-minute rocket by Nikko Paolo Villa, but Team Socceroo tied the match on the 49th as Korean Jeon Shin Seok converted a Song Woo feed before Glen Malu delivered the marginal goal on the 80th.

Team Socceroo thus kept the solo lead with 15 match points on five straight wins while Forza stayed at second with 10 points on three wins and a draw against a setback.

Joining Forza FC at second is Union Internacional Manila, which routed Agila FC, 2-0, for 10 points.

James Toe delivered the twin goals on the 26th minute of the first half and the 60th minute.
